Hall of Fame
Dr. William G. Van Note, Monmouth College President from 1962-1971, provided the vision and direction that led to the construction of Alumni Gymnasium, swimming pool and other athletic facilities, including an all-weather track. Van Note was also instrumental in establishing the college's first athletic scholarships, providing a foundation for development of the varsity sports program.
Dr. Van Note was inducted into the Monmouth College Athletic Hall of Fame in May 1981, as part of the first-ever class.
