Barbara Paterno Clark '80 was a four-year member of the Monmouth women’s basketball team, and one of the first-ever athletes to record 1,000 career points and 1,000 career rebounds. A two-time Monmouth College Most Outstanding Athlete in both 1979 and 1980, Paterno Clark averaged 20 points and 11 rebounds per game during her tenure with the Blue and White. Paterno Clark, who was the team MVP in 1976-77 and a New Jersey Collegiate Basketball All-Star, was drafted by the WBL and played professionally in Europe. Paterno Clark also played volleyball and softball during her time at Monmouth.
