Hall of Fame
Clarence W. Withey, was a member of the Monmouth College community as a bursar, business manager and Vice President for Business Affairs during his time with the institution. "Walt" understood the value of an athletic program for a young college. From its inception in 1956 to his retirement in 1969, Withey worked quietly but diligently, providing administrative support for a steadily expanding and competitive athletic program, including a gymnasium, pool, all-weather track and tennis courts, baseball and intramural fields.
Withey was inducted into the Monmouth College Athletic Hall of Fame on November 3, 1984.
