EDISON, NJ – Graduate student Mackenzie Jones was named the MAAC Women's Track Performer of the Week, it was announced by the conference office on Wednesday.
 
Competing at Boston University's Bruce Lehane Scarlet & White Invite on Saturday, Jones set a new school record in the women's 5000m event, clocking in with a time of 16:51.50 while finishing second overall. That time is second-fastest among all MAAC competitors this season and fourth-fastest among all competitors in the Division I Mid-Atlantic region.
 
The Hawks will host the Monmouth Winter Collegiate Invitational on Friday, February 11 and Saturday, February 12 at the OceanFirst Bank Center. It is the final regular season event for the men and women as they prepare for the MAAC Indoor Track & Field Championships next weekend in New York.
