EDISON, NJ – For the second time this season, freshman pitcher
Billie Kerwood was named the MAAC Softball Rookie of the Week, it was announced by the league on Tuesday.

Kerwood made four appearances last week, tossing 18.1 innings and posting a 0.76 ERA, 21 strikeouts, and five walks. In the 6-4 win over Marist on Saturday, the freshman allowed four unearned runs while scattering just three hits over seven strong frames, picking up eight punchouts. Against Fairfield, Kerwood threw nine innings in relief over two games, allowing four hits and two runs and striking out 12 Stags batters.

The Hawks will play a pair of MAAC doubleheaders on the road this weekend. The team will be in Manhattan to take on the Jaspers on Saturday, April 23 before heading up to Saint Peter's to face off against the Peacocks on Sunday, April 24.
