WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – Monmouth University Softball landed a pair of student-athletes on the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the organization announced Tuesday.
Sophomores
Giana Scotti and
Liv Smith were both recognized for their performances on the diamond and in the classroom, each earning their first career honors.
To be eligible for the Academic All-District team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at her current institution. Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. Eligible nominees must compete in 90% or start in 66% of their institution's games.

The 2025 Academic All-District® Softball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes softball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
