HAMILTON, NJ – Hosting their lone event of the season, the No. 24 ranked Monmouth University bowling team placed third overall at the Hawk Flight Invite this past weekend. After posting an 8-3 record over the first two days of the tournament, Monmouth was seeded fourth in the championship round. The Hawks lost a close battle to LIU in the first round before bouncing back and downing No. 23 Adelphi to secure third place.

Saige Yamada was the highest Hawks finisher in the individual standings, slotting in at sixth overall out of 85 competitors. Yamada bowled to an average score per game of 194, notching two 200+ rounds in six attempts. Her highest game of the tournament was a 226.
