Monmouth's Jenna Lehrer Contests USBC Intercollegiate Singles Championship Semifinal

April 19, 2025

West Long Branch, NJ - Monmouth graduate student Jenna Lehrer will bowl for the USBC Intercollegiate Singles Championship on Saturday in Las Vegas.

Lehrer secured her spot in Saturday's semifinal round by defeating Arkansas State's Kaylee Back, 650-626, in a three-game series on Wednesday. She jumped out to a 49-pin lead after Game 1, but Back gradually closed the gap. Lehrer used a 10th-frame double to seal a tight win and advanced into the final four.

One day earlier, the veteran right-hander kicked off her run in the 24-competitor bracket by posting series wins over Lindenwood's Hailey Bozych and North Carolina A&T's Victorya White. Lehrer earned the No. 12 seed after six qualifying games (1,261 pinfall) on Tuesday morning.

Lehrer initially booked her ticket to Las Vegas by placing third overall, out of 215 competitors, in the USBC Addison sectional last month. A total of seven players advanced to the nationals from Addison.

In Saturday's semifinal, which will begin at 6:15 p.m. ET, Lehrer will face Jacksonville State's Erin Klemencic in a single 10-frame game with a ticket to the championship match on the line.

The matches will air, via tape delay, on CBS Sports Network this Tuesday, April 22 at 7 p.m. ET.
