VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – The Monmouth University bowling team took part in its final MEAC meet of the regular season over the weekend. Facing off against all eight of their conference rivals in traditional games, the Hawks posted a 5-3 record over the two-day event, pushing their overall MEAC record on the season to 10-6. Monmouth sits fourth in the conference behind No. 6 North Carolina A&T (14-2), No. 14 Delaware State (11-5), and No. 16 Maryland Eastern Shore (11-5) with the conference tournament one month away.

Jamie Phelan was one of the top overall performers at the meet, finishing third overall out of 62 competitors. Over nine matches, Phelan amassed a total pinfall of 1,814 while tallying six 200-plus games.
Saige Yamada also placed in the top-ten overall, posting an average score of 188.6 over her nine games including three 200-plus rounds.
