GENEVA, NY – Annick van Lange of the Monmouth University field hockey team was named to the 2022 NFHCA Division I All-America Third Team, the National Field Hockey Coaches Association announced on Tuesday.
van Lange adds All-American honors to a long list of accolades from the 2022 season. The Belgium native was also named the Colonial Athletic Association's (CAA) Offensive Player of the Year and made the All-Conference First Team, was a NFHCA Division I Mid-Atlantic All-Region First Team member, made the CAA All-Tournament Team, and was the CAA Player of the Week five times.
The graduate forward was one of the most dominant players in the nation during the fall, finishing second in the NCAA in goals (24) and points (52). She led the CAA in those categories along with shots (89), shots on goal (53), and game-winning goals (seven). She spearheaded a Monmouth offense that finished in the top 20 in the country in goals per game.
van Lange also set Monmouth program records for career goals (74), career points (168), and single-season goals (24) during the campaign. She becomes the fifth field hockey All-American in school history and the second in the last three seasons.
