OAKLAND, NJ – The Monmouth University bowling team finished in first place at the Wacky's Baker Challenge on Saturday at Holiday Bowl in Oakland, NJ.
At the single-day event, the Hawks posted a total pinfall of 6,116 - besting the squads from Nassau Community College and Stevens Institute of Technology. Monmouth knocked down an average of 873.7 pins over seven rounds with a high score of 929 and low of 713. The Hawks finished with a team score average of 174.7 across 35 baker games.
Junior
Jenna Lehrer led the Hawks with a 45.6% strike percentage, including going a perfect 17-17 on single-pin spare conversion attempts. Freshman Brillian Soedarmasto converted on a team-best 80.6% of spare opportunities. Junior

Siyah Sweeny had an impressive split-spare conversion.

The Hawks will travel to Houston, TX for the Track Kat Klash hosted by Sam Houston State. The three-day competition begins on Friday, November 4 and will end on Sunday, November 6.
