NORFOLK, VA – Monmouth University bowling redshirt freshman Jamie Phelan has been named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Bowling Rookie of the Week. 

Phelan had a strong start to her college career with a 12th-place effort that included three 200+ performances, including a team-weekend high of 236, at the Northeast Classic. Her individual 236 was the fourth-highest single game total of the tournament. In all, Phelan knocked down 979 pins across five traditional games, good for a 195.8 average.

Monmouth returns to action this weekend when it hosts the Garden State Classic at Bowlero in North Brunswick, NJ.
