OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD PRESEASON COACHES’ POLLS ANNOUNCED

EDISON, NJ – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) has announced the 2021 Preseason Coaches' Polls for Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field, which were voted on by head coaches around the league.

The Monmouth men's team was voted as the unanimous favorite after receiving all eight first-place votes. On the women's side, Monmouth came in second with four first-place votes and 89 points.

"We're so excited about the upcoming outdoor track & field season," head coach Mike Nelson said. "Like other colleges, we haven't competed in an outdoor track setting since 2019.  We will not take this opportunity for granted.  Overall, training has gone really well for all the event areas.  Our goal is to compete as a full track and field squad.  We've got several smaller, team-oriented meets on the schedule.  It's going to be a lot of fun to see our student-athletes getting to do what they love."

The Hawks will open the outdoor track and field season on Saturday, March 13th at Rider.
