NORFOLK, VA – Monmouth University sophomore bowler
Saige Yamada was honored by the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference as its Bowler of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.
At the UMES Hawk Classic at Millsboro Lanes, Yamada claimed a spot on the All-Tournament Team, placing second among all individuals with a total of 1,100 pins across five traditional games. Yamada's second-place finish was the highest of her career. She rolled five 200+ games, including a career-best and team-weekend high 249. Yamada now has 13-career 200+ efforts and eight this season.
Monmouth resumes its schedule after the new year on January 10 in Las Vegas at the Blue and Gold Classic.
