NEW YORK, NY/ STATE COLLEGE, PA/ITHACA, NY- The Hawks competed this weekend across the Northeast with groups of Hawks competing at the Penn State National meet, Columbia Collegiate Challenge and Cornell Kane Invitational. The highlights from the weekend included the women's distance medley relay team posting a school record time and a top five NCAA time at the New York Armory. Kyle Mueller broke the school record in the 5000-meter run at Penn State and Corey Murphy also continued to dominate in the shot put by posting another win in the event at Penn State.

- The women's DMR team of
Brianna Stratz,
Nioami Miranda,
Chandi Piiru and
Allie Wilson shattered the school record in the relay by placing second in the race with a time of 11:15.64.
- This time breaks the school record by more than 10 seconds and is currently the second best time in the entire NCAA.

Allie Wilson nearly topped her school breaking performance in the 800 meters from a week ago by winning the event in 2:06.58. Senior
Brianna Stratz finished 7th in the same event with a 2:09.84.
PENN STATE NATIONAL OPEN
- Corey Murphy once again won the shot put with a new season-high of 62'10.75" while beating the second place finisher by more than five feet. This mark will move him into the top 20 in the country.
- Senior Darius Howe finished third with a jump of 48'7.5" in the triple jump.
- Kyle Mueller secured a school record and IC4A qualifying time by finishing second in the 5000-meter run in 14:25.35. Mueller breaks the record of 14:29 set by Nick Pellegrino in 2004.
- Ryan Rafferty placed sixth in the 800 meters with a time of 1:54.97.

Mariah Hubbard placed fifth in the triple jump with a mark of 39'3.25".
- Freshman
Sarah Crissman and
Amber Stratz finished 4-5 in the 1000-meter run with ECAC qualifying times of 2:53.73 and 2:54.13, respectively.
Khalid Slocum advanced to the finals of the 60, placing 8th.
CORNELL KANE INVITATIONAL
- Junior Brandon Davis won the weight throw with a mark of 52'6.75".
Freshman Masfort Boima finished 4th in the 60-meter hurdles by finishing in 8.68 seconds, with teammate Naeem Green taking 5th in 8.72.
- Freshman Chris Maiurro placed 4th in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.16 seconds.
- Freshman Randy Showmaker finished 3rd in the pole vault by clearing 14'3.25".
- James Hoffman finished the 1000-meter run in 2:35.9 to place third.
Freshman John Spinelli finished 7th in the 5000 with a 15:46.

Natalie Tavares,
Nancy McGrath and
Keellyn Cummings teamed up to win the 4x800 relay in 10:00.75.

Onnie Coles (42'7.5") and Catherine Light (42'3.25") finished 3-4 in the shot put.
Emily Schroepfer and Tiyanna jenkins took 5th and 6th in the 60 in 8.14 and 8.15.
Mackenzie Todd finished 6th in the 400. McGrath finished 6th in the mile in 5:25, and the women's 4x400 team of
Kerri Powers, Michaela Baker, Tricia Donahue and
Jessica Wisowaty closed out the day with a 2nd place finish.
NEXT UP
- The Hawks will once again split teams with one group heading to Boston for the Crimson Elite meet at Harvard on Friday and the Scarlet & White Invitational at Boston University on Saturday. The other group will travel to Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex to compete in the Villanova Invitational on Saturday.
