TRACK & FIELD WINS FIFTH STRAIGHT MAAC TITLE
LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ- The Monmouth track & field teams won their fifth straight MAAC titles Sunday at Rider University. The women won by more than 100 points with 261 points while the men scored 270 points to win the championships. Sophomore
Ibrahim Massey was named MAAC Male Track Performer of the Meet after winning the 100, 200 and 4x100 meters on Sunday. Senior
Allie Wilson was recognized as the MAAC Female Track Performer of the Meet after a day that included three wins along with a record-breaking performance in the 1500 meters.
Allison Taub earned honors as the MAAC Female Field Performer of the Meet after winning the shot put.
Tim Jacoutot and
Kyra Velock were named the MAAC Rookies of the Meet.
Danielle Steff was tabbed as the MAAC Field Rookie of the Meet after winning the javelin throw in convincing fashion yesterday. Coach Joe

rd MAAC Coach of the Year awards.

"Both teams were great this weekend at going after it for each other and competing with a lot of strength and resilience."
- This is the Hawks' 9th straight conference title for both the men and women, dating back to 2009.
- Monmouth has won 19 conference titles, 1 ECAC Championship and 1 IC4A Championship in the last five years.
- The 4x100 relay team of Tim Van Cauwenberge, Jacoutot, Miguerson Joseph and Massey won the event in 41.70 seconds.
- Darius Howe won the triple jump with a jump of 49'9.25" while Michael Pepper placed third with a mark of 46'3.25".
- Chris Marco won the 1500 meters with a time of 3:48.02 while Dylan Capwell placed 4th by crossing the finish line in 3:49.37.
- Massey won the 100-meter dash in 10.74 while Joseph was third in 10.85 seconds.
- Capwell won the 800 meters in a tight race with a time of 1:50.90 while Marco finished third finishing in 1:51.07.
- Jacoutot and Greg Stickle finished first and second with times of 52.76 and 52.91 seconds. Van Cauwenberge (56.36) and Michael Stearns (1:00.75) finished 5th and 8th.
- Massey also won the 200 meters by finishing in 21.73 seconds while Malcolm Chavis took 7th in 22.99 seconds.
- Bryan Cabral, Capwell, Marco and Nick McFarland teamed up in the 4x800 relay to win with a time of 7:37.52.
- The 4x400 relay team of Jacoutot, Stickle, Frank Conforti and Chavis won the event in 3:14.19.
- Van Cauwenberge and Evan Adams cleared 6'5.5" in the high jump to finish 5th and 6th. Dan Jefferson and Harrison Bickmore both cleared 6'3.5" to tie for 7th place.
- Andrew Tummino (52'6"), Dan Gilligan (50'4.5") and Andrew Huisman (50'2") finished 4-6-7 in the shot put.
- Gilligan (156'3"), Huisman (155'11"), Tummino (154'2") and Brandon Davis (152'5") finished 3-4-5-6 in the discus.
- Van Cauwenberge placed third in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.28 seconds.
- Chavis finished third in the 400-meter dash by finishing in 48.96 seconds.
- Ashley McKinnon won the triple jump with a mark of 40'9.75". Her teammate Mariah Hubbard finished just behind in second with a mark of 38'9.5".
- Taub won the shot put with a mark of 46'11.5" while Jordan Wildermuth (44'3.5") placed second. Alicia Hester (42'6.75") took 5th, Chibuzo Amonu (42'2.25") finished 6th and Onnie Coles (41'3") secured a point for the Hawks in 8th.
- McKinnon, Viviane Orleans, Iyanna Jenkins and Domoah Kutu-Akoi teamed up to win the 4x100 relay with a meet record breaking time of 46.53 seconds.
- Kutu-Akoi broke both the school and meet records in the 100-meter dash by finishing in 11.89 seconds. Her teammates Iyanna Jenkins and McKinnon finished 3rd and 6th.
- Chandi Piiru won the 400-meter dash in 56.39 seconds while Nioami Miranda took 4th in 58.25 seconds.
- Allie Wilson set a new school and meet record in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:24.12. Fellow Hawks Kyra Velock (4:28.48) and Amber Stratz (4:35.40) finished third and eighth.
- Wilson also won the 800 meters with a time of 2:09.17. Brianna Stratz (2:10.25), Velock (2:12.18) and Amber Stratz (2:14.63) finished second, fourth and sixth respectively.
- Piiru, Stratz, Stratz and Velock teamed up in the 4x800 relay to win with a time of 8:57.05.
- Taub took second in the discus with a mark of 149'4" while Jade Cunningham took 8th with a throw of 122'8".
- Kutu-Akoi, McKinnon and Iyanna Jenkins finished third, sixth and seventh in the 200-meter dash with times of 24.91, 25.75, 25.86 seconds.
- Casey Sturts tied fifth in the high jump by clearing 5'1".
- Orleans and Dana Lynch finished fourth and fifth in the 100-meter hurdles by finishing in 14.53 seconds and 14.67 seconds.
- Natalie Negroni finished 6th in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:05.81.
