TOWSON, MD – The Monmouth University bowling team turned in its best performance of the season, finishing second at the James Brown Invitational this weekend.
Monmouth finished 9-2 during the three-day event that featured 15 teams, including two ranked opponents. The Hawks, who are receiving votes in the latest NTCA Poll, posted victories over two ranked teams, #21 Norfolk State and #10 Fairleigh Dickinson, before falling to the Knights in the Championship match, 4-2.

Jackie Evans led the Hawks individually, as she led all individuals with a 216.00 scoring average across five traditional games.

- The Hawks were a perfect 5-0 during Friday's Baker matches, the first time this season they won all five Baker matches.
