RICHTON PARK, IL – The Monmouth University bowling team earned a fifth place finish at the Crusader Classic hosted by Valparaiso University this weekend at Lakewood Bowl.
Monmouth finished 6-6 during the three-day event that featured 13 teams, including the top-ranked Nebraska Cornhuskers. The Hawks, who are receiving votes in the latest NTCA Poll, posted victories over two ranked opponents, #22 Maryville and #24 Lincoln Memorial.
For the sixth consecutive competition seniorÂ
Jackie Evans led the Hawks individually, as she finished second among individuals with an average of 209.60 over five traditional games.

- Weather forced a schedule change for Sunday's format. Each team competed in three Baker matches to conclude the three-day event. Friday's Baker matches and Saturday's traditional matches followed the standard tournament schedule.
- The Hawks defeated a pair of ranked opponents, #22 Maryville and #24 Lincoln Memorial, en route to a 2-5 record against ranked opponents on the weekend.
- Monmouth went 2-1 during Sunday's competition to improve to 10-2 on Sunday over its last four events.

nd), while earning her third top-10 finish of the season and the ninth of her career.

- Monmouth's highest pin total in baker format was 1,015 against #24 Lincoln Memorial.
- The Hawks 1,015 total pins are the second-most for the team in Baker format this season and it was the third time the team reached the 1,000-pin mark this season.
- Monmouth's largest margin of victory was 137 pins in the Baker match win over Augustana (888-751).
 - Evans threw a 236 high game in traditional match play. She had three of her five games above 200 over the weekend.
