Kate O'Hogan were all lauded as players of the week, league officials announced Monday afternoon.
Garden Bachop claimed her fourth MAAC Offensive Player of the Week honor after extending her goal streak to seven games with a marker in the Hawks' 2-0 win at Lock Haven in the regular season finale. The senior, who moved up to fifth all-time in a single season with 15 goals, has scored in nine of the last 10 outings and ranks sixth nationally in goals per game (1.15) and points per game (2.62).
Frenken earns her first career MAAC Defensive Player of the Week accolades after aiding the Hawks on both ends of the field against the Bald Eagles. The sophomore helping the defense capture its fourth shutout of the season, while scoring her first career-game winner in the 21st minute off a corner strike for her third goal of the season. Frenken shares the honor with Rider's Tess Coorens.
O'Hogan also captures her first career honor fresh off a season-best eight save effort to earn MAAC Rookie of the Week. The keeper made six second half saves to complete her third shutout of the season. O'Hogan, who shares the awards with Rider's Tess van Ommeren, is now 7-1 on the season with a 1.20 goals against average.
Monmouth, which claimed its fifth-straight MAAC Regular Season Title and the number one overall seed for the championship, opens up postseason play against fourth-seeded Sacred Heart, Friday, November 2, at 2 p.m. on So Sweet A Cat Field.
