STRATFORD, NJ –  The Monmouth University bowling team earned a fourth-place finish at the 2017 FDU Jamboree this weekend at 30 Strikes Lanes.

Monmouth went 6-7 during the three-day event, but ranked third among the 15 competing teams in total pins. The Hawks also posted their second head-to-head win of the season over No. 8 Fairleigh Dickinson during Friday's Baker match.

For the second straight week senior Jackie Evans led the Hawks individually, and she placed second among individuals as she averaged 222.20 over five traditional games.

WEEKEND NOTES
- The No. 13 ranked Hawks defeated No. 8 FDU by a 1049-944 score in a Baker match.
- The top-10 victory gives the Hawks two top-10 wins for the 2017-18 season. 
- Monmouth also recorded wins against Felician, Bethune-Cookman, Morgan State and Chestnut Hill.
- Jackie Evans earned her first top-10 finish of the season and the seventh of her career.
- Haley Solberg placed 12^th overall, her highest finish of the 2017-18 season.

 NUMBERS CRUNCH
- Monmouth's highest pin total in baker format was 1,049 against No. 8 FDU.
- The Hawks 1,049 pin baker format total was a season high.
- Monmouth's largest margin of victory was 234 pins in the Baker match win over Bethune-Cookman (1013-994). 
- The Hawks have reached the 1,000-pin mark twice in baker format this year, both of which came in this weekend.
- Jackie Evans led Monmouth with a season best 255 high game in traditional match play. Evans has reached the 200-pin mark in seven of 10 games this season.
- Senior Julie Bianco recorded a season high game of 218. She has two games above 200 in 2017-18.
- Junior Haley Solberg registered a season high game of 216. She has two games above 200 this season.
- Senior Demi May threw a season best game of 214, her first 200-plus performance of the year.
- Senior Allison Carola rolled a season high game of 198.
- Freshman Erin Ohta posted a season high game of 181.
