ORLANDO – The Monmouth University women's bowling team completed its opening weekend of the 2016-17 season with a sixth-place finish at the Wildcat Invitational.
The Hawks finished 7-5 over the three-day event, highlighted by a 3-1 record in Baker format scoring.
Individually, Kaitlyn Reth led the Hawks with a 192.20 scoring average over five traditional games.

- The No. 16 ranked Hawks defeated No. 10 Fairleigh Dickinson twice over the weekend, once in traditional format and again during Sunday's championship bracket

- Four of the five teams ahead of Monmouth in the final standings occupy the top four spots in the national poll
NUMBERS CRUNCH
- Monmouth's highest pin total in traditional format was 942 in its win over FDU.
- The Hawks total of 1,029 in their win over Tulane set a high for the event.
- Monmouth's largest margin of victory was 199 in the win over the Green Wave.
- Haley Solberg (191.25) and Maritza Darling-Ramos (190.50) joined Reth above the 190-pin mark average.
