BOWLING ANNOUNCES NLI SIGNEES FOR 2015-16

WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J.-  Monmouth bowling head coach Karen Grygiel announced two signings for next season, as Maritza Darling-Ramos and Haley Solberg join the MU bowling program. Darling-Ramos comes to West Long Branch from Chicago, Ill., while Solberg hails from Belvidere, Ill.

Solberg is a right-handed bowler from Belvidere North High School, and was a four-year varsity bowler for the Blue Thunder. She was a four-year all-conference performer for Coach Jim Paddock, earning conference MVP honors as a senior. As a junior, she finished eighth in the state.

Darling-Ramos is from George Washington High School in Chicago, and is a left-handed bowler. She was the lead off bowler for the Patriots as a freshman before anchoring the next three seasons. She was a member of a conference championship as both a freshman and a junior, finishing in the top three all four years. She finished fourth in the regional championships in 2014 before taking eighth in 2015, and helped lead the Patriots to a second place regional finish in 2013.

Solberg and Darling-Ramos will join Monmouth bowling in the fall of 2015 for the program's second season as a member of the Southland Bowling League.
