WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ - Sophomore Valerie Bermudez (Guayanabo, Puerto Rico/Cupey Maria Montessori) was named to the Federación de Bolos Sub-20 National Team this Sunday afternoon.

Through the 32 total games over four days of competition, Bermudez bowled a cumulative 5,767. The first day on December 22, she bowled a 1,387 on a 44-foot lane. The next day on a 40-foot lane, she repeated the 1,387 performance. The following week on December 29, she bowled a 1,466 on a 41-foot lane, and followed up that performance with a 1,527 this afternoon. Her performance over the four days of competition landed her in the top four, and three pins above the fifth place contestant.

Bermudez and the Hawks will compete in the Kutztown University Invitational at Heister Lanes in Reading, Pa. the weekend of January 25-27. The start time is to be determined.
