HAWK BOWLERS FINISH 9th AT MORGAN STATE INVITATIONAL

PERRY HALL, Md.- Monmouth University's women's bowling team placed 9^th out of 19 teams at the Eighth Annual Morgan State Invitational this past weekend.

The Hawks, who were paced by junior Rikki Del Donno's (Fairless Hills, Pa./Pennsbury/FDU) 186.6 average, won four matches on the weekend. Del Donno knocked down 933 pins over five matches to place 24 ^thout of 123 bowlers. Right behind her was freshman Brittany Havens (Bordentown, N.J./Bordentown Regional) who averaged 185.4 over the weekend for 25^th. Sophomore Jolisa Aquino (North Bergen, N.J./High Tech) was also in the top half of bowlers with a 170.2 average.

The University of Nebraska won the event with an 8-1 record on the weekend. It is the sixth time in the eight year history of the event that the Cornhuskers have taken home the title.

The next competition for the Hawks will be the ECAC championship at Parkway Lanes in Elmwood Park, N.J. on February 26-27.
