WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – Monmouth Men's and Women's Track and Field Head Coach Jordan Torney and Cross Country Head Coach Damon Godfrey announced the teams' incoming 2026 incoming classes on Wednesday.
"I'm very impressed with the high level of talent across all event groups that we are bringing in with this class," said Torney, entering his second year at the helm of the track and field program. "We have continued to raise the bar and standard of our program and it's great to have an outstanding group of student-athletes enrolling to Monmouth this fall!"
"We are excited about the talent, competitiveness and character of our 2027 distance recruiting class," added Godfrey, who has been part of the Monmouth program since 2019. "This is a deep and talented group that covers every event area within our middle distance and distance program, and we believe they will make an immediate impact while building a very bright future together at Monmouth University."
The Hawks brought in 22 newcomers this year, comprised of 21 freshmen and one transfer. Six of the 16 new faces on the men's side will compete in cross country, joining two women who are set to compete in both track and field and cross country. The full incoming class is below.

The men's and women's cross-country squads will kick off their seasons on Sept. 4 at the Adelphi Invitational in Bethpage, N.Y. The teams will compete in four regular season meets before returning to Bethpage for the CAA Cross Country Championships on Oct. 31. The indoor track and field schedule will be released at a later date.
