WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – After a stellar senior season, Monmouth University DH Jay Bant earned American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) All-East recognition. Bant was selected to the second team.
 
Bant was honored by the ABCA for the first time in his career and is the first Hawk to take home ABCA All-East Region honors since Trey Dombroski in 2022. It's the 19th time in program history that the Hawks have had an ABCA honoree.
 
Earlier this spring, Bant took home Second Team All-Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) accolades after a breakout season at DH. He played in 50 games and hit .333. Bant led the Hawks with 65 hits, 58 RBIs and seven home runs. He ranked fourth in the CAA in RBIs and tied for fifth in doubles (17).
 
Bant was responsible for two of the Hawks' three walk off wins after hitting home runs against Saint Peter's and Delaware. He led the Hawks with 16 multi-RBI games, including a season-high six at Georgetown.
