West Long Branch, N.J. – Monmouth University Men's Lacrosse had two players named to All-CAA teams Wednesday, with junior
Gabe Bowen-Slott earning a spot on the First Team and freshman
Brendan Dundas named to the Rookie Team.
Bowen-Slott, in his first season as a Hawk, emerged as one of the top defenders in the CAA, playing in 11 games this year. He totaled 15 caused turnovers and 11 ground balls, and helped anchor a Monmouth defensive unit that allowed the third least amount of goals in the CAA in league play and overall.
Dundas tied for the team lead in points as a true freshman, totaling 32 with 22 goals and 10 assists. He led Monmouth with 77 shots taken, and grabbed 21 ground balls. Dundas scored inn 12 of 14 games this season, including seven multi-goal contests. He tallied three goals four separate times, and had two five-point showings.
Bowen-Slott is the second ever All-CAA First Teamer in program history, joining
Matt Soutar in 2023. Dundas is the third All-CAA Rookie pick, joining 2023 selections
Ty Caffarelli and
Miles Edmiston.
