RICHMOND, Va. – Monmouth goalkeeper
Dylan Cadigan was named the CAA Defensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday, following a standout performance in the Hawks' 13-12 win at Hofstra.
Cadigan recorded a career-high 18 saves in the victory, helping Monmouth secure its first-ever win over the Pride in six all-time meetings. His 18-save effort is tied for the sixth-highest total by a CAA netminder this season and ranks among the top-20 single-game performances in Division I.
Cadigan currently leads the CAA with a .579 save percentage and ranks 10
th nationally in the category. He and the Hawks return home to play the Hampton Pirates on Hesse Field at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 28.
