Morgan Davis was named the 2023-24 Mid-Eastern Atlantic Conference (MEAC) Bowling Rookie of the Year, the league announced Thursday evening.

The Texas native headlines postseason honors for the Hawks with the major award and an appearance on the All-MEAC Second Team, as well. Senior teammate
Jenna Lehrer was named to the Third Team.
Davis led Monmouth averaging 19.5 pins per frame during her freshman campaign. She struck in 45.3% of her frames, with an impressive 84.4% overall fill percentage and 88.7% single-pin spare conversion rate. The freshman rolled a team-high 18 200+ games and finished as the individual runner-up at the UMES Hawk Classic in November. Davis was crowned as the MEAC Bowling Rookie of the Week once during the season (1/31) – the only Hawk to claim a conference weekly award all year.

Lehrer collects her second consecutive and second career All-MEAC honors after pacing MU with 449 Baker frames bowled. The senior was second on the team with a 44.2% strike percentage, and she filled 81% of her overall frames. Lehrer rolled her 50
th career 200+ game this season during the USBC ISC Sectionals in early March and had 15 total on the year. Lehrer also rolled the 10
th-best individual game in the conference when she rolled a 268 in a Monmouth win over No. 8 Sam Houston at the UMES Hawk Classic.
The Hawks look to clinch an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament as they bowl in the 2023-24 MEAC Championships beginning Friday, March 22.
