SMRYNA, Tenn. – The Monmouth University Bowling Team finished the USBC ITC Sectionals in eighth place out of 19 competing NCAA schools this past weekend at the Smyrna Bowling Center.

As a team, the Hawks knocked down a total of 11,732 pins across 64 Baker games. Monmouth bowled 14 200+ games including a single-game high of 247 which came on Saturday.

Individually, three Hawks placed inside of the top-50 during Friday's Singles Qualifier. Freshman Morgan Davis led MU with a 24th-place finish totaling 1,193 pins across six games with nearly a 200 average. Desiré Villalobos placed 35th after averaging 192.5 pins per game and registering a total pinfall of 1,155. Jenna Lehrer tied for 41st place behind a 1,135 total. All three Hawks each recorded a trio of 200+ games.

NOTES & NUMBERS
- Monmouth averaged just over 183 pins per game as a team.
- Davis brings her season total of 200+ games up to 18, the team leader in that category.
- Villalobos notched her highest individual finish since the USBC Northeast Classic (12/3/23).
- Lehrer recorded her 50th career 200+ game.
- Poole has knocked down 6,004 total pins in individual play this season.
- Johnson recorded set a new season best with a 181.5 average over the weekend.
- Sweeny now has 28 career 200+ games.
- Soedarmasto tallied three of her four 200+ games at USBC events this season.
- Binck set a new career high with six individual matches played this weekend.
 
NEXT UP
The Hawks will bowl for the MEAC crown and an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament at the MEAC Championships from March 22-24.
