NORFOLK, Va. – Over the weekend, the Monmouth University Bowling Team collected five wins at the season's second MEAC event, bringing its conference record to 9-7 on the year.
Monmouth defeated Howard, No. 14 Maryland Eastern Shore, and Norfolk State on Saturday, and then followed up with wins over Coppin State and No. 22 Delaware State on Sunday.
Freshman
Morgan Davis led the Hawks with a 199.22 average across nine traditional games including six 200+. Davis knocked down a total of 1,793 pins with a high game of 233 to place fifth individually.
Seniors
Jenna Lehrer and
Siyah Sweeny also rolled nine games each. Lehrer – four 200+ games – placed 15
th with a 189.89 average, while Sweeny – two 200+ games – placed 17
th averaging 186.89 pins-per-game.
The Hawks carry their 9-7 conference record into the MEAC Championships that will take place on March 22-24.

Monmouth awaits qualification for the USBC ITC & ISC Sectionals set to take place March 9-10 at a location that is to be determined. As a team in NCAA play, the Hawks return to action March 16-17 at the Northeast Roundup hosted by Wilmington University.
