Fouces, Moors and Tucker Make NFHCA Mid-Atlantic Region Teams

December 04, 2024

MANAHAWKIN, N.J. – Monmouth University Field Hockey senior forward Sofia Fouces was named to the 2024 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Mid-Atlantic Region First Team, while sophomore Anna Moors and senior Jess Tucker earned Second Team honors, the organization announced Wednesday.

Fouces finds herself on the All-Region First Team for a second consecutive season after finishing with eight goals and four assists. As 2023's CAA Offensive Player of the Year, Fouces garnered heavy attention from opposing defenses and still led the Hawks with 76 shot attempts – 23 more than any other Monmouth player.

Tucker appears on the Second Team in back-to-back seasons after leading Monmouth with a career high 27 points on 10 goals and seven assists. She scored her first career hat trick in the 10-1 win over William & Mary on Nov. 1, helping her earn the CAA Offensive Player of the Week for the second time in 2024. Moors earns NFHCA All-Region honors for the first time in her career and scored a hat trick versus the Tribe, as well, helping her lead the conference with 12 goals. Moors was the CAA Defensive Player of the Week twice and NFHCA National Defensive Player of the Week once.

All three student-athletes were 2024 All-CAA First Team members, while Fouces and Tucker become the seventh and eighth Hawks in program history to earn multiple NFHCA All-Region honors.
