Entering her 19th season at the helm of the Monmouth University field hockey team, Carli Figlio’s program has consistently excelled both on the field and in the classroom. Figlio’s squad won three conference championships and made three NCAA Tournament appearances during its tenure in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference before continuing the winning-ways this past season in the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA).

Figlio led the Hawks to a regular season CAA title in 2025, going 5-0 in the regular season while also notching a 12-3 overall mark where the team most notably earned a 4-2 road victory over No. 17 nationally ranked Rutgers which helped establish a program-best No. 11 NFHCA national ranking. In turn, Figlio was named to her third CAA Coach of the Year honor and coached six CAA All-Conference selections including Rookie of the Year Florence van Doorn and the program's first CAA Defensive Player of the Year, Eulalie Brouwers. Both van Doorn and Brouwers, along with teammates Claire Campen and Mila Frye were also recognized as Mid-Atlantic All-Region picks including a first-team nod for van Doorn. Figlio also celebrated her 200th career victory, which came in a 7-1 win Sept. 7 over Rider, as she additionally guided the 2025 Hawks to a CAA Championship appearance. In the classroom, 20 Hawks were honored to the NFHCA All-Academic squad.

Figlio is a 2005 graduate of Kent State University, where she was a Dean's List student and earned a degree in Communications Studies. As a player, she led the Golden Flashes to three Mid-American Conference regular season field hockey championships, as well as the 2002 MAC Tournament title as a midfielder. She served as team captain from 2002-2004, and was named to the National Academic Team in 2003 and the All-Region Academic Team in 2004. Kent State made three appearances in the NCAA tournament during her career.
