RICHMOND, VA — The Coastal Athletic Association announced its weekly field hockey winners Monday with Monmouth senior back
Anna Moors collecting her sixth career honor as she was named as the CAA Defensive Player of the Week.
Moors, who was a reigning First-Team All-CAA pick and All-Region selection for the Hawks heading into her junior season last fall, suffered a season ending knee injury against Hofstra that cut her 2025 season short. She worked through a long recovery and played her a season-high 29 minutes on the road against the Pride Friday where in full-circle-fashion, tallied a season-high two goals and solidified the shutout for her team in the 4-0 victory.
She scored her first of the year off a penalty corner in the 24th minute, inserted by
Lauren Relik with
Audrey Mullen also on the assist. She then capped the Hawks' offensive performance in the final minute of the third quarter, again connecting on a penalty corner for her second of the day.
Moors previously received CAA Defensive Player of the Week honors in 2025 (Sept. 15) and in 2024 (Sept. 9, Oct. 28, Nov. 4) and was a CAA Offensive Player of the Week selection last season (Sept. 1).
Moors and the No. 19 nationally ranked Hawks are back in CAA action this weekend, traveling to Drexel Friday for a 4 p.m. matchup before returning home to face No. 15 Yale on So Sweet A Cat Field Sunday at noon.
