RICHMOND, Va. – After leading the Monmouth University men's and women's swim teams to a second-place finish at the ECAC Winter Championship, freshmen
Victor Pottier Ibanez and
Emilie Mosner were named the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Swimmers of the Week.Â

Pottier Ibanez is the second Monmouth men's swimmer to be honored this year (
Owen Dyson – Nov. 12). Mosner is the first Monmouth women's swimmer to be honored this season.Â

Pottier Ibanez set a pair of school records while helping the Hawks finish second at the ECAC Winter Championship. He set the school record in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 56.09. His time in that event is the 12th fastest by a CAA swimmer this season. Pottier Ibanez also set the school record in the 200 breaststroke as he won the event in 2:00.74. His time in that event is the sixth fastest by a CAA swimmer this year.

Pottier Ibanez helped the Hawk finish second in the 400-medley relay with a time of 3:19.77. He also helped the Hawks finish second in the 200-medley relay with a time of 1:30.48.Â

Mosner set a school record and helped the Hawks finish second at the ECAC Winter Championship. She had two individual first place finishes and two relay team first place finishes. Mosner set the school record in the 100 breaststroke on Saturday as she won the event with a time of 1:03.14. Her time in the 100 breaststroke is the eighth fastest in the CAA this season.

On day one, she helped the Hawks win the 400-medley relay with a time of 3:48.74. On Saturday, she swam the second leg of the 200-medley relay, which placed first with a time of 1:44.54. On the final day of the championship, Mosner won the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:19.95. That was the 12th fastest time in the CAA this season.

Pottier Ibanez, Mosner and the rest of the Hawks will be back in action on January 25 when they host St. Peter's at 12 p.m.
