West Long Branch, NJ - Monmouth freshman Kailyn Bloch earned the Northeast Conference Bowling Rookie of the Week award on the heels of her performance at Destination Orlando.

With the Hawks contesting a loaded tournament field flush with NTCA Top 25 programs, Bloch turned in two productive days in baker bowling. She posted a 20.01 baker frame average over eight matches.

Overall, Bloch averaged 19.57 pins per frame, including a tiny sample size from traditional team competition. The rookie right-hander totaled 39 strikes in 86 attempts (.453). Her first ball yielded an average of 8.93 pins.

Bloch was also named an NEC Prime Performer for her efforts, joining Sierra Poole and Morgan Davis. Poole posted a 19.45 three-day frame average while Davis accounted for 19.15 pins per frame.

After picking up their first three wins of the season (Tulane, Daemen, Florida A&M) in Orlando, the Hawks return to action on October 26 at the USCB Eastern Intercollegiates followed by an appearance at the Dezy Strong Classic on October 27.
