STRATFORD, NJ – The Monmouth University Women's Bowling Team finished in third place and went 9-4 overall at the NJ Open hosted by FDU at 30 Strikes Lanes over the weekend.
The Hawks knocked down a total of 11,457 pins across 64 games – averaging 914.6 pins in five Baker matches and 904.4 pins in five Traditional matches.

Monmouth kicked off the weekend with four wins in Baker play on Friday, picking up wins over Holy Family, LIU, Adelphi, and Wagner.

Saturday's Traditional format began with a split against No. 25 FDU with the Hawks taking the first of the back-to-back contests. The 958-934 victory marked the first win for Monmouth over the Knights since Nov. 19, 2022, at the UMES Hawk Classic. The Hawks followed up with wins over No. 22 Kutztown, Wilmington (Del.), and New Jersey City to enter Sunday as the second overall seed with an 8-2 record.
After dropping the first two Championship matches on Sunday, Monmouth rallied to defeat Felician in six games to claim third place at the event.
