RICHMOND, VA – After winning the 100-yard backstroke at the CAA Championships, Monmouth's
Callan Smith has been honored with a spot on the league's All-Conference Team, the CAA announced Thursday afternoon.
Smith's gold medal performance capped a stellar career as he won the first medal for Monmouth at the CAA Championships with a school-record breaking swim of 46.56 in the 100 back. He won six career gold medals, five during Monmouth's time in the MAAC, and 12 medals overall.
Smith ended his career with five individual program records and was part of four relay record swims, in addition to his 93 career individual first-place finishes.
