"I am honored and grateful for the opportunity to lead the swim program at Monmouth University," said Masi. "I am looking forward to continuing the traditions of the programs while at the same time aiming for and reaching new heights. Being a local, I have a lot of New Jersey pride, and I am excited to expand both the men's and women's programs to make them a standout in not only the CAA but also in the NCAA scopes. I would like to thank Director of Athletics Jen Sansevero and the entire search committee for trusting me and having the confidence in my ability to guide this program into a new era. I can't wait to get started!"
Before her time at UConn, Masi made an impact at Fordham University. As an assistant coach, she helped guide the team to a second-place finish at the 2020 Atlantic 10 Championships and played a critical role in recruiting the program's first NCAA qualifier in over 15 years.
Her leadership journey also includes serving as head swim coach and aquatics director at Maine Maritime Academy. There, Masi led the program to its first-ever team victory and recruited a standout class of 13 incoming athletes—laying a foundation for lasting success.
Beyond collegiate swimming, Masi has dedicated herself to developing young athletes and promoting water safety through her work with the Monmouth County Junior Lifeguards and Navy Swim Camps. She brings not only a competitive mindset, but a dedication for mentorship and community engagement.
A former standout athlete herself, Masi earned her bachelor's degree in Public Health with a minor in Education from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2018, where she served as senior captain of the UMass Swim and Dive Team. She is also a two-time national champion in lifeguard rescue races Â
Currently pursuing her master's degree at the University of West Virginia with expected completion in 2026, Masi holds multiple certifications, including CPR, First Aid, Lifeguard Instruction, and ASCA Levels I & II.
