Eric Sabato hit his first home run as a Hawk, but the Monmouth University Baseball team dropped a Sunday decision to Penn State University, 11-3.
Austin Denlinger had three hits for MU in the game.
The Hawks jumped out to a 2-0 lead, with Denlinger continuing his hot hitting with an RBI double over shortstop to score
Mason Wolf, who had walked and moved to second on a wild pitch.
Will Trochiano would later score on a wild pitch in the inning to give Monmouth an early lead.
PSU got one back in the bottom of the second before exploding for seven in the third to make it 8-2. MU got one back on Sabato's first career home run in the fourth, a long ball over the left field ball, before the Nittany Lions added single runs in three straight innings to close out the 11-3 win.
