RICHMOND, VA – Monmouth University men's tennis student-athlete Niels Van Noord has been named the CAA Men's Tennis Player of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.
 
Van Noord posted a 2-0 mark at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles as Monmouth defeated Fairleigh Dickinson (4-3) and Queens (6-1) to extend its winning streak to four. The Hawks' fifth-year player topped FDU's Teodors Pukse, 6-1, 6-4, and cruised past Queens' Cameron Henricy, 6-2, 6-2. Van Noord teamed with Victor Castro for a 6-4 doubles triumph vs. FDU and clinched the doubles point with Charlie Penman against Queens. 
 
The Hawks will travel to Princeton for their first road match of the spring season on Saturday, February 25. First serve is set for 3 p.m.
