Three Hawks Earn All-CAA Accolades

RICHMOND, Va. – After a stellar 2024-25 season, three members of the Monmouth University men's tennis team were honored as the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) announced its end of the year awards voted on by the league's head coaches.
 
Senior Mateo Bivol earned First Team All-CAA Singles accolades while Bivol and grad student Louis Keller were a First Team All-CAA Doubles selection.
 
Keller was a Second Team All-CAA Singles honoree and junior Alex Martinez Sanz took home Third Team All-CAA Singles accolades.
 
These three helped the Hawks go 19-4 and reach the CAA Semifinals.
 
Bivol took home First Team All-CAA accolades for the second straight season. He went 16-9 at first singles for the Hawks. Bivol was 2-1 in CAA regular season matches and had a five-match win streak. He had the clincher in the CAA First Round win over Drexel. 
 
Bivol and Keller made a formidable pair at first doubles for the Hawks. The duo recorded nine wins, including two in CAA regular season action. Bivol and Keller picked up a win the CAA First Round against Drexel and were leading in their doubles match in the CAA semifinals match when the doubles point was clinched. The pair finished the year with a win in each of their final four matches and were named the CAA Doubles Team of the Week after beating Hofstra.
 
Keller had a spectacular first season in singles for the Hawks. The grad student went 19-5 while playing primarily second singles and won all three of his CAA regular season matches. Keller picked up a win in both matches of the CAA Tournament for the Hawks. He won his final 12 matches of the year. 
 
Martinez Sanz earned all-conference accolades for the first time in his career while playing both second and third singles. He went 17-6 on the year and 2-1 in CAA regular season matches. Martinez Sanz won his final four matches of the season and was leading in his CAA semifinal match when the match was called. He also won five straight during the fall tournament schedule.
