RICHMOND, Va. – After leading the Monmouth University men's tennis to a 3-0 week, senior Alex Martinez Sanz and sophomore Sasha Vysochenko were named the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Men's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week.
 
The pair were honored by the league for the third time this season (Feb. 17, Mar. 3, Apr. 7). 
 
Martinez Sanz and Vysochenko led the Hawks to wins over Temple, Hofstra and LIU and extended the team's win streak to four straight matches.
 
The pair started the week with a 6-1 win over Alberto Blumenschein and Pranav Nemani of Temple. 
 
In the win over Hofstra, they combined for a 6-3 win over Dominic Anderson and Alex Di Fruscia. 
 
The duo wrapped up the week with a 6-2 win over LIU's Daniel Lemmon-Warde and Jason Lemmon-Warde. The Hawks won the doubles point in all three matches.
 
Both players also went 2-0 in singles play.
 
Martinez Sanz and Vysochenko and the rest of the Hawks will wrap up the regular season when they host Drexel on Friday, Apr. 10 at 2 p.m. The Hawks will honor their seniors, Martinez Sanz and Louis Keller at 12:45 before warm-ups.
