WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – For the fifth time this season,
Trey Dombroski has been named the MAAC Pitcher of the Week. He was joined by teammate
Reed Interdonato, who collected his first career MAAC Rookie of the Week honor.
Dombroski struck out a career-high 13 in his fifth win of the year at Quinnipiac on Thursday, walking just one in eight innings. His 13 K's are the most by a Hawk since 2016, when Frank Trimarco fanned 13. This is the fifth selection Dombroski has earned this season.
Interdonato earned his first Rookie of the Week award this season after delivering three shutout innings and collecting his first career win against Big East member Seton Hall last week. He struck out one and walked just two, and became the second Hawk to earn a Rookie of the Week honor this season, joining classmate
Jay Bant.
Monmouth is in action tomorrow at home against NJIT, with first pitch set for 3:00 p.m.
