HAMILTON, NY – The Monmouth University men's tennis team continued its run of strong play by winning its eighth consecutive match in a 7-0 victory over Colgate on Friday afternoon at Abrahamson Tennis Courts.
The Hawks secured all three doubles matches to claim the first point, highlighted by a 6-0 win by
Arthur Dussaubat and
Christof Zeiler at No. 3. Monmouth won at the No. 1 spot as
Niels Van Noord and
Charlie Penman won 6-4 while
Trent Massam and
Victor Castro also won 6-4 as both duos extended their winning streaks to five.
Monmouth swept the singles matches in straight sets with
Lucca Silva extending his winning streak to eight in a row. Singles winning streaks continued for
Trent Massam (six),
Victor Castro (five),
Dmitry Bezborodov (three) and
Charlie Penman (three).
