WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – Monmouth University men's tennis head coach Chris Leicht announced a challenging fall slate for the Hawks to kick off the 2026-27 season. 

Leicht and the Hawks are coming off a 2025-26 season in which, they went 14-5 including a 1-0 record in fall play. 

The Hawks will open the fall on Sept. 23 as they travel to Lafayette for a 4 pm match. Monmouth has played Lafayette in two of the last three fall slates and picked up victories both times.

Monmouth plays its first home match of the fall on Sept. 27 when it hosts Adelphi at 12 pm. It will be the first ever meeting between the Hawks and Panthers.

Monmouth remains home to host Wagner on Oct. 6. The two sides will play a tournament format slate that day.

The Hawks who qualify will take part in the ITA Regionals at the University of Pennsylvania starting on Oct. 15. 

Monmouth returns home to host Le Moyne on Oct. 23. It will be the first ever meeting between the two squads.

The Hawks wrap up the fall when they head to the Drexel Invite starting Nov. 6. Last year the Hawks posted six doubles wins over the three day event.

Monmouth's spring schedule will be released at a later date.
