BRONX, NY – The Monmouth University men's and women's swimming teams dropped dual meets with Fordham on Friday afternoon at Messmore Aquatic Center. Â

The men's team suffered a close loss to the Rams, 146-134, while the women's team lost, 183-90.
Fordham added to its team total with points in diving, which proved to be the difference in the final score on the men's side.

MEET NOTES

Callan Smith continued his early season success by winning the 100 back (50.84) and 200 back (1:53.88). Smith has four wins this year and 77 for his career.

Dean Beyer won a pair of races, taking first in the 500 free in 4:42.99 and the 1,000 free in 9:51.35. Beyer doubled his career wins total to four.

Blake Reynolds hit the wall in 21.16 to win the 50-yard freestyle. Reynolds claimed his 25
th career victory and first this season.

Cole Dyson took first in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:44.54. His first victory of the season gives him 13 in his career.
- Monmouth won the men's 200-yard medley relay as
Callan Smith,
Sean Cook,
Blake Reynolds and
Owen Dyson finished in 1:33.24.
- Camryn McHugh placed first in the 100-yard backstroke, winning in 57.81. It was her first win of the year and the 52
nd of her career.
- Alexandra Ho claimed the top spot in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.74. Ho earned her first win this season and the 28
th of her career.
- Freshman Bailey Rynkiewicz won the first race of her career, the 400 IM in 4:46.43.
- Monmouth's women won the 400 free relay as Alexandra Ho, Edie Ancell, Jensen Ritter and Camryn McHugh won in 3:43.08.
