RICHMOND, Va. – Callan Smith of the Monmouth University men's swimming team was named the CAA Swimmer of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday.
 
Smith posted a pair of first-place finishes and a second-place effort in Monmouth's season-opening meet against Fairfield last Saturday. The graduate student won the 100m back in a time of 57.74 and captured the 200 back in a time of 2:04.49 in a short course meter pool. He was the runner up in the 200 IM with a time of 2:08.03. Smith now has 75 individual victories for his career.
 
Smith and the Hawks will travel to Fordham on Friday for a 4 p.m. meet.
