PHILADELPHIA – Fifth-year senior Niels Van Noord became the first Monmouth University men's tennis player to qualify for the ITA Super Regionals following an unbeaten weekend at the ITA Northeast Regionals hosted by the University of Pennsylvania.
 
Van Noord led a number of strong performances for Monmouth that included his defeat of top seed Adit Sinha (Cornell) with a 6-2, 2-1 (ret.) victory on Monday morning. With his effort, he is one of eight regional qualifiers to advance to the Super Regional event later this month.

As a whole, Monmouth went 9-5 in singles matches and 3-2 in doubles play, highlighted by the duo of Dmitry Bezborodov and Alexander Zuckerman advancing to the Round of 16.
