WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – Monmouth University head swimming coach Matt Nunnally has announced the addition of two male and two female student-athletes to the program. The Hawks will welcome 10 total newcomers for the fall semester after signing six swimmers earlier this year.

This is an outstanding group of young men and women who will all have a positive impact on our Monmouth Swimming program in the classroom, pool and community. NAME: Duncan Collins

Before Monmouth: Competed in breaststroke and freestyle events at Winnacunnet High School for coach Kris Reslow … four-year varsity letterwinner … competed for Solo Aquatics and head coaches Meghan Feran and Paul Mueller … career top events and times include the 100 breaststroke (59.79) and 200 breaststroke (2:13.17) … 2021 State Champion and school record holder in the 100 breast … won the 50 freestyle state title … member of two state champion and school record setting relay teams (200 medley relay and 200 free relay) … part of the state runner up 400 free relay team … member of the 2019 New England Zones team … 2020 and 2021 Seacoast Swimmer of the Year nominee … 2018 Team Rookie of the Year and 2021 MVP … also was part of the basketball team for two years … three-time scholar athlete.

Before Monmouth: Competed in freestyle, IM and butterfly events at Lower Moreland High School for coach Karney McNear … four-year varsity letterwinner … also competed for Lower Moreland Swimming and Diving … career top events and times include the 100 freestyle (47.36), 200 freestyle (1:43.50), 200 IM (1:58.68), 400 IM (4:13.82) and 200 fly (1:56.42) … four-year state/varsity team qualifier … 2020 200 IM District 1 AA Champion and was part of the winning 200 Medley Relay and 400 Medley Relay teams … 2019 200 Medley Relay and 400 Medley Relay District 1 AA Champions … helped his team win the 2018 PIAA AA State Championship and three PIAA District I Championships … Academic Honor Roll student.
